The course covers academic writing and reading, which includes planning and writing of essays, correct referencing convention and research skills. Students also study note taking and oral presentation.


The course consists of seven (7) modules -  one (1) core module and six (6) elective modules. On successful completion of the seven (7) modules the student is entitled to receive the 10365NAT - Certificate IV in Spoken and Written English - Further Studies, however in the event that a student does not complete all seven (7) modules they are entitled to a Statement of Attainment, for completed modules






Entry requirements

The 10365NAT - Certificate IV in Spoken and Written English - Further Studies is designed specifically for English as an Additional Language (EAL) students who want to continue their studies at Diploma level and above. A typical minimum entry level would be IELTS 5.0. The focus is on equipping students with the skills required to study at a tertiary institution in any English speaking country.
